The MAHS Torchbearer Award was created by the MAHS Board of Delegates in 1999. The mission of the Michigan Association of Honor Societies is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of secondary schools in Michigan. The MAHS Board of Delegates highly believes in recognizing outstanding leaders for their tremendous efforts in these four areas.
