This year’s State Charity of the Year is Penrickton Center for Blind Children. Penrickton is a private, non-profit five day residential and day care agency serving blind, multi-disabled children ages 1-12, located in Taylor, Michigan. With no fees ever being charged to families, all financial support is raised from individuals, service clubs, corporations, and foundations.

On a Monday night in September, the children at Penrickton Center for the Blind had a special visitor, Rosie. Rosie is big enough to carry any of our children with ease, she is a good listener; she has lots of brown hair but likes to swish her tail!
The purpose of the MASC and MAHS shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of secondary schools in Michigan.
