$5,000 available, up to $1,250 per school   |  Deadline: APRIL 7, 2008

The Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP), through their Annual Convention Raffle, provides scholarships for the MASC/MAHS Summer Leadership Camps. These scholarships will be awarded to student council or honor society students interested in attending one of the camps that exhibit a financial need. The principal, council or chapter must be a member of MASSP, MASC or MAHS, respectively. Eligible and interested students must submit a completed Applicant Overview Form (see page 2), including personal and adviser essays, in order to be considered for a scholarship. No more than two students from a school will be awarded scholarships.

The Michigan Associations of Student Councils and Honor Societies lost a dear friend in February 2007. Mr. Jack Kalousek taught and advised at Franklin High School (Livonia, Michigan) for 12 years and was serving as their Student Activities' Director. He was passionate about student leadership and providing students opportunities to grow. His involvement at the local, state and national level was matched by very few advisers in Michigan.. He was well-known, respected, loved and treasured by advisers and students throughout Michigan and he will be dearly missed.

Take leadership to the next level! Each summer, students from all over Michigan join together to take part in a workshop so challenging and energizing that they walk away with the tools and motivation to lead their schools through the challenges and activities of the next school year.
