Conference Host Applications

Councils and chapters interested in hosting a Fall Training Institute and/or Regional Conference must review the information below and submit a proposal to host via our online application process.

Fall Training Institute Host Applications must be submitted by JUNE 1.
Regional Host Applications must be submitted by September 1.

Proposals received AFTER these deadlines will only be considered if there is a need for a conference in that local area.

Fall Conferences run from mid-October through early-November. For information on hosting a Fall Training, please see our Fall Training Institute Host Handbook.

Regional Conferences run from mid-February through early-March. For information on hosting a Regional Conference, please see the Regional Host Handbook.

FALL TRAINING INSTITUTE APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY JUNE 1

REGIONAL HOST APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY SEPTEMBER 1

 

Information to have ready before vising our application page:

  • School Name, Address, City, Phone
  • Group that is applying (student council or honor society, or both)
  • Adviser(s) name(s) and email(s)
  • Chairperson(s) name(s) and email(s)
  • What conference would you like to host (Fall Training or Regional)?
  • Are you hoping to hold the conference at your school (or school building in your district?) or would you like MASC/MAHS to secure a site in the area?
  • If you are hoping to hold the conference at your school (or school building in your district), do you have the following: a "general session" area that can hold 200-500 people, 4-10 small session rooms (classrooms), a place for everyone to eat lunch, and ample parking? Please provide details on each of the areas mentioned so we know the minimum and maximum we can accommodate at your site!
  • If you are hoping to hold the conference at your school (or school building in your district), please let us know if you plan to arrange for food (more details will be provided if you choose this) or if you would like MASC/MAHS to make food arrangements. If you would like MASC/MAHS to make food arrangements, please provide us with contact information for the school food service company and other local catering/food companies you have worked successfully with in the past.
  • What MASC/MAHS events has your school attended in the past four years (include student and adviser events)?
  • How long has your adviser(s) been serving as the adviser at your school?
  • How many students are in your council/chapter? How many will be working on this conference?
  • How often and for how long does your council/chapter meet?
  • Has your group ever hosted an MASC/MAHS event in the past four years? If so, please tell us when/where/what.
  • Has your group ever hosted any non-MASC/MAHS events in the past four years? If so, please tell us when/where/what.
  • Please tell us why you would like to host an MASC/MAHS conference.
  • How will you make your conference unique if selected as the host school?
