Coming January 29, 2009, MASSP/MASC/MAHS is launching a great new tool for advisers, students and the companies they do business with! Our VIRTUAL EXHIBIT SHOWCASE will provide valuable connections between schools and companies. Our focus is on the leadership groups within schools - advisers, moderators and students, as well as administrative staff members. With that focus, our Virutal Exhibit will highlight all the companies and services they work with, from assembly programs and award/recognition products to curriculum resources and speakers.
View our sample Virtual Exhibit page and list of categories!

The 2008-2009 MASC/MAHS Board of Delegates is challenging at least 100 member schools across Michigan to raise $1 per student enrolled, to benefit this year's Charity of the Year, Penrickton Center for Blind Children !
Be part of the challenge! Add a comment to the bottom of this story to add your school to the challenge, then check this story later for a list of schools that successfully complete the challenge. Also, share how your school plans to get $1/student by adding a comment to this story. You must be a registered user of this site to contribute comments.

Please unmark your calendars, then mark them again!
Due to some miscommunication with the Grand Traverse Resort, we were under the impression that the State Conference for 2009 had been adjusted to March 28-30, 2009. This was the date we publicized at last year's event as well.
However, the contract wasn't updated and so the actual date for the 2009 MASC/MAHS State Conference is APRIL 4-6, 2009.
We apologize for this change and realize it will run into a couple more spring breaks, yet we had the same issue in 2008 and managed record numbers in attendance!
Watch our States 2009 page for more information as the year moves along!

We are very excited about our new membership structure for 2008-09! We have been serving Michigan's student council and honor society advisers and students for many, many years now. Our conferences help develop leadership in the youth of our state and also provide resources for advisers to continue that training throughout the school year when not at conferences. However, we realized that while our mission was on target, it was exclusive. Being exclusive certainly isn't a bad thing, unless the opportunities we provide are not available for the other students in your school through other associations.
