Hello Middle Schools & Center 1!
It is time to go back to school….and start fundraising and planning school activities!
The MASC/MAHS Board has set two goals for the 2008/2009 school year, one of which involves raising money for Penrickton Center for Blind Children, this year’s state charity. Penrickton Center for Blind Children is a private, non-profit five day residential and day care agency serving blind, multi-disabled children between the ages of 1 and 12. Children are not only blind but have at least one additional handicap such as deafness, cerebral palsy, brain damage, developmental delay and mental retardation. Because no fees are ever charged to families, all financial support is raised from individuals, service clubs, corporations, and foundations. So, as a goal of MASC/MAHS, we hope to reach a goal to raise at least $1 per student from at least 100 member schools for Penrickton. Check with your advisor if you can do something like this. With your council, decide what you will do, as far as advertising and planning, to make this possible in your school.
