Success Story:
In my freshman year at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, I was petitioned into their Student Government during December, 2008. In January 2009, I was nomiated for the position of Senate Clerk, holding that position until the end of the 2008-2009 term. This year, through University of Michigan-Dearborn Student Government, I have had the opportunity to attend conferences for the Student Association of Michigan, formed in 2007. I am now honored to say that I was elected to the executive position of secretary for this outstanding organization in April 2009. Through the Student Association of Michigan, I have had the pleasure of working with student leaders across the state of Michigan. I have also had the opportunity to meet state legislators such as representative Alma Wheeler-Smith.
I am ever so grateful for the knowledge and experience I gained during my high school career with Livonia Churchill's Student Council. I cannot imagine my life outside of the organizations that I am a member of today.
