Pardon Now, Enjoy Later!

Submitted by Todd on Mon, 09/19/2011 - 10:38.

We promise, if you pardon us now--we will please you soon!

MASC/MAHS is committed to being the BEST resource for student activities in the state of Michigan. One aspect of that commitment is being on the cutting-edge of distributing information to our members and others interested in helping grow student leaders from Monroe to Menominee to Mattawan (and everything in between).

Aspects of www.mascmahs.org are undergoing redesign so that our site can be upgraded in the near future. This may mean that at times, certain pages may appear unavailable--and information may reflect old dates and timelines. The entire staff is working very hard to make our turnaround time as quick as possible.

JAM Conference (Junior High and Middle Level)

JAM Conference

Some of the strongest student leadership programs in MASC/MAHS are those that work with junior high and middle level (JAM) students! Once per year, we like to gather for a student-led conference to show each other the BEST activities we are doing in our student groups, and to have a LOT of fun!
We hope if you are a JAM student leader or adviser, you will consider joining us this spring at the conference, or bringing a presentation from your school to present to other JAM leaders!

Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward. If you've ever seen the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't, here's a short, very general summary:

In the movie, Trevor, the main character, is enthused about the assignment given to him by his social studies teacher, Mr. Simonette, to change the world. Then, he created the movement of "pay it forward;" he would change three people's lives, and, in turn, those three people would each change three other people's lives, and the movement continues, growing exponentially. By the end of the movie, so many people's lives had been affected, starting with just one person.
