At my school, we are fortunate enough to have a Leadership Class. In our first semester, our main events are Homecoming and our Caring and Sharing week. With the new executive board getting up and running and the new class gets situated, it is necessary for our adviser to play a bigger role in order to make sure everything is smooth sailing.

This year at Avondale High School, we have a half day scheduled on the Friday of Homecoming. This means that the students will be at school for approximately 3 hours instead of a regular 7 hour day. Traditionally, the Friday of Homecoming is the Games & Spirit Assembly. This assembly usually is made up of an hour of games and friendly competition between the classes (Class of 2010, 2011, 2012, etc.). With having a half day scheduled on this day sparked a few different options of how we can manage our time. However we have decided to have the whole day dedicated to the assembly.

This is Gary Williams, your Public Relations Officer (PR) for the MASC/MAHS Board of Delegates. This month's Website Spotlight is all about the Hall of Ideas. The Hall of Ideas is an area of the website that everyone with a MASC/MAHS Website Account can use. Students and advisers can share their ideas and thoughts about different topics. This area can be used both for getting new ideas and sharing your ideas with others. Some topics already being discussed are Homecoming, Advertising, Themes, Spirit Days, Charities and even training ideas.
