Hello Fabulous Center 4!
I am writing this blog so that you can make the MOST of your MASC/MAHS experience. We have a couple exciting events coming up: 2010 State Conference and 2010/2011 Board of Delegate selections!
State Conference
The annual state conference this year is hosted by Churchill High School. It's a two night/three day experience themed "Power of One". The conference is held at the Grand Traverse Resort and will start on Saturday, March 27 and end on Monday, March 29. It is going to be an inspirational, excitement-packed weekend. If you would like more information, it can be found under the Conferences Tab at the top of the page. Click on "State Student Leadership Convention". Time is running out, so if you are interested, please check it out as soon as possible!
Board of Delegates
One of the best ways to get involved with MASC/MAHS is to be on the Board of Delegates. The BOD is the students behind the scenes of the organization. As your Center 4 MAHS Representative, I can say that it is a BLAST! Some duties of the 2009/2010 BOD were as follows:
- Helping out at at least one Regional Conference
- 4 meetings, one of which was over the internet
- Selecting award recipients and next year's state charity
All in all, being on the Board of Delegates is a gigantic honor. The selection process is intense. If you would like more information, it can be found if you click on the Applications tab at the top of the page.
