The Holiday Season is one of the best times for community service, teacher appreciation, Student Council bonding, and more!
Show your appreciation to your teachers for all of their hard work and bring cheer to their Holiday season! My Student Council is discussing the idea of giving the teachers an "Endless Mug Day" - of Hot Chocolate! We would do one of two things: keep the hot chocolate in a thermos (with a nozzle) in the teacher's lounge for teachers to refill their mugs, or have shifts for Student Council members to go around to each teacher's classroom with a thermos of hot chocolate to refill for the teachers. If we choose to go around to each teacher's classroom, we would borrow a cart from our food's room so that we could carry around different flavors of hot chocolate. In addition to the hot chocolate, we are thinking of buying Christmas cookies to bring around to the teachers, too.
Our Student Council is planning a fun community service project. Our Student Council is still setting up a date to go Christmas Caroling around our town, which will be sometime during our Christmas break. We determine a house or other place to meet at, dress warm, and bring Christmas song books with us (in case we need them). Afterwards, we have our Student Council Christmas Bonding Bonanza! In the past, we have gone sledding and ice-skating. This year, we are also thinking about a ski-trip.
I just wanted to share these ideas with you, and hopefully you can plan a few activities like these ones. Both your teachers and community will appreciate it.
Have a great Holiday season!
