Conference Host Applications

Submitted by KPojeta on Tue, 11/06/2007 - 19:40.

Hosting an MASC/MAHS conference is a true way to build morale in your student group, all while learning lessons that will last well into adulthood. You will be challenged with many different issues, but overall--the product that is produced gives instant gratification!

Fall Conferences run from mid-October through early-November. For information on hosting a Fall Training, please see our Fall Training Institute Host Handbook.

MASC/MAHS Board of Delegates Application 2010

Submitted by Todd on Thu, 01/14/2010 - 17:53.

We are currently looking for a number of high-caliber students to serve on next year's Board of Delegates. Whether you are a member of your school's honor society, student council or government, class council, or leadership class--you will have the opportunity of a lifetime to serve your fellow peers on the statewide level!

Board of Delegates members will be asked to make a 1-year commitment, that will include project planning, travel to conferences and events, representing Michigan on a national level when asked, and even writing your own activities for your peers--certainly not something that is always a breeze! So, take some time, talk with your MASC/MAHS adviser and principal. What do your parents/guardians think?

Mr. Jack Kalousek taught and advised at Franklin High School (Livonia, Michigan) for 12 years and was serving as their Student Activities' Director. Student Councils are heavily supported and guided by advisers in the schools. It is important that students have the opportunity to recognize these influential men and women. MASC/MAHS recognizes one outstanding middle school adviser and high school adviser from each of the 12 Centers, then out of those award recipients, chooses one that stands out above the rest and honors him or her as the State Adviser of the Year. The State Adviser of the Year is then submitted to the National Adviser of the Year program sponsored by NASC. The Center and State Adviser are selected by the MASC/MAHS Board of Delegates.
